The Wedding Veil: Journey | Hallmark Channel Movie Review

The Wedding Veil trilogy part 2.3, the third movie in the second trilogy – The Wedding Veil: Journey! I don’t need another TWV trilogy, but my brain does because three trilogies is just more complete than two trilogies. You know?

Hallmark’s Synopsis

“In the third movie of the sequel trilogy, Tracy is now head of the auction house and Nick’s restaurant is such a success, he’s looking at expanding. Their success comes at a cost, however, as it gives them little time to see each other. The couple agree to make time for their long overdue honeymoon. They head to Greece as it’s the perfect place to relax and sightsee. When a travel delay costs the couple their hotel room, they get the opportunity to stay on a remote island nearby. Is it possible the veil is once again working its magic and bringing them exactly where they need to be?”

⭐⭐⭐⭐

What’s not to like about Ali and Victor in Greece?! 😍 I loved the touch of reality in this one, showing how a couple who are in love and care about each other can still find themselves not connecting even though they’re trying. Love that they talk about it (in order to avoid a talk-talk), and they take steps to make changes.

A vacation alone won’t change anything, and adding another person to their dynamic might make it worse, so I think they still had a lot of things to work out, but the movie ended with me feeling hopeful about them. However, I do wish the flash forward would have addressed the changes they may have made. I know sister is taking over management, but he’s still head chef, right? And don’t head chefs still work at night? Were any aspects of Ali’s job able to change?

I’m glad they didn’t have Ali get pregnant, and every time her friends commented about it I was annoyed. I’ll say it again: IT’S OKAY TO NOT WANT TO HAVE CHILDREN. I bought the way this story unfolded though, that Leo was someone they just happened to meet and connect with. I think they still had a lot of things to work out in this area too, and I wish there had been more to their conversation about it, but this is Hallmark Channel, we can’t get too deep and serious. 😜

I loved the side characters and their stories (Xander’s terrible cooking 😂), and Leo was adorable! I didn’t even care that the girls crashed their honeymoon, at least they acknowledged it was tacky. Tracy’s story is still my favorite overall.
