Bring Back Winterfest

Dear Hallmark Channel, please bring back Winterfest! kthxbye.

Is this a controversial opinion? ๐Ÿ™ƒโ
โ
It looks like Hallmark Channel’s WINTERFEST started in 2016 and wasn’t focused on winter at all. 2017 gave us a couple of snowy gems, and then 2018-2020 was ALL! ABOUT! SNOWY! WINTER!โ  Or at least had ice involved somehow. ๐Ÿ˜‚โ
โ
It was ski resorts, chalets, and cozy mountain cabins.

It was skiing, ice skating, and hockey.

It was winter festivals and ice hotels.

It was hot cocoa bombs and apple strudel.

It was cozy kisses by the fire and Hygge AF!โ
โ
In 2021 they renamed it NEW YEAR NEW MOVIES which was weird, but okay. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ We still got our snowy winter vibes, plus a fun non-snowy but still seasonally appropriate flick with Aimee Teegarden & Michael Rady: A New Year’s Resolution. Although I’m still wondering why they aired that on Jan 9th instead of Jan 2nd, but whatever.โ
โ
Then.โ

Came.โ

2022.โ
โ
Sure, we got The Perfect Pairing with some snow in wine country, but there were no snowy winter vibes in the other four (!!) movies. It’s not looking good for 2023 either; the only snowy one doesn’t even air until the end of this month. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธโ
โ
Theme of Winterfest movies? Snomances.โ
โ
Theme of New Year New Movies? I have no clue, it’s chaos.โ
โ
I want the cozy snowy winter vibes to come back. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Do they think it’s too similar to snowy Christmas vibes? Winterfest is usually real snow which I love, but maybe it’s too hard to film? Maybe the actors don’t want to? I need answers!! ๐Ÿคฃโ
โ
What are your thoughts? Did you even notice the change?โ
โ
Are you team Bring Back Winterfest, or are you on board with the chaos of the very literally named New Year New Movies? You can be honest, I won’t block you. ๐Ÿ˜‰โ

If you’re in the mood for winter movies, you can find all Winterfest movies listed here.

PS – Yes, I like The Wedding Veil movies, I just think this year’s trilogy would have been a better fit for Feb/Mar/Apr. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธโ
