Hallmark’s Synopsis

“In the first movie of this sequel trilogy, Avery and her husband Peter are in the midst of renovating the old house they’ve purchased, which is proving to be a bigger undertaking than they anticipated. Avery has some exciting news to share with him, but is waiting for just the right moment. Meanwhile, Avery’s mother-in-law, Grace, reconnects with a former beau, and Peter has concerns. Between that, the pitfalls of remodeling and navigating the politics of having a new boss at the museum, Avery is lucky to have Emma and Tracy, who offer support from afar as well as in person when they decide a video chat won’t suffice. When newlywed Tracy returns the antique wedding veil to Emma, the friends may find that they haven’t seen the last of its magic.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐

I debated 3.5 or 4, but I’m a sucker for ride-or-die girlfriends, however, I think there was a little too much going on and it was hard to care about ALL of it, you know?

I liked the relationship stuff and the house stuff. It would have been fun if it had been even more about the crazy renovations, but I understand we needed a museum story to further the veil story, that part just didn’t do much for me. Neither did the art program thing, we didn’t even get to see the kids. 🤷‍♀️

I also wasn’t invested in the mom’s story. I wanted to be, but they didn’t tell us enough about their past to make me care, like, WHY DID THEY BREAK UP??? Has he been pining for her this whole time? I also didn’t like the hand holding scene; she said she wasn’t ready, respect her boundaries, bro.

Lacey was perfect, as always, I totally teared up when she found out she was pregnant! Although I found it hard to believe she wouldn’t have told the girls about that first false positive. I still wasn’t a fan of Kevin’s accent, but I dealt with it because he’s so pretty and he wakes her up with roses. 😍

Um, can we talk about THAT kiss… you know which one, right? The one where you thought for a split second Hallmark was going to get s-p-i-c-y!! 🔥😅 These two have PhDs in Chemistry! 🙌 That kiss almost got ME pregnant.

The last second of the movie was amazing 🤣, and many thanks to Lacey for confirming it was an ad lib. The two of them genuinely cracking up makes me laugh every time, and I’m so glad they left it in there!

I’m re-reading this and it seems very negative. 😂 If you’re wondering how it’s still a 4 for me… I really did love Lacey and Kevin together! I thought all the pregnancy stuff was cute, and the girlfriend scenes were always good. It’s definitely worth a watch, especially if you liked the first one. I’m very excited for the next two!
